Low Fat Fryers - Gadget Test

They claim to be a revolution in home cooking and promise to deliver healthy, guilt free fried food. But do they work? Rosemary Conley and 2 online slimmers volunteered to put 2 leading low fat frying gadgets, the Tefal ActiFry and the Philips Airfryer - to the test. So what's the verdict? See the results here.

I owned a Tefal Actifry, it lasted just over a year and blew up! I loved it while I had it, however I have now purchased the Phillips as it has a 2 year warranty. I find it cooks chips better, you do need to shake the tray a few times while things are cooking, my recipie book clearly states to dry the chips first and to toss in a teaspoon of oil, then shake while cooking, this works for me and mine come out nice and even. Personally I prefer the Phillips every time.

I am glad see this test. These machines are very expensive for what they really do!
I think the Dry Fry - Rosemary Way is just as easy, just as quick and more uniformed in colour.
