Ingredients
- 400g gooseberries, washed, topped and tailed
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 2 tbsp caster sugar
- 100g flour
- 50g jumbo oats
- 1 tbsp demerara sugar
- 50g light margarine
Cooking Instructions
- Wash, top and tail 400g gooseberries and place in the bottom of an ovenproof dish.
- Scatter with 1 tsp cinnamon and 2 tbsps caster sugar.
- In a bowl, mix together 100g flour, 50g jumbo oats and 1 tbsp demerara sugar.
- Rub in 50g light margarine and pile on top of the fruit.
- Bake in a preheated oven (200C, 400F, Gas Mark 6) for 20-25 minutes until the crumble is golden brown on top and the gooseberries are soft.
- Sweeten to taste, if required, and serve hot with low-fat custard or virtually fat free fromage frais.
