Ingredients
- 80g white bread
- 1 Crunchie bar
- 2 eggs
- 300ml semi-skimmed milk
- icing sugar, for dusting
Cooking Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 200C, 400F, Gas Mark 6.
- Cut the bread into small pieces and place in the bottom of an ovenproof dish.
- Chop the Crunchie bar into small shavings and scatter over the bread.
- Heat the milk in a small saucepan until just before boiling point.
- Beat the eggs and mix in the hot milk. Pour over the bread and Crunchie shavings, then push down the bread with the back of a spoon to allow the liquid to be soaked up.
- Bake in the oven for 20 minutes until set and golden on top.
- Dust with icing sugar and serve hot with low-fat yogurt.
Tips
Allow the bread to soak up the milk mixture before cooking so you end up with a soft, creamy texture.
