Ingredients

  • 2 sheets Nori seaweed
  • 100g cooked sushi rice
  • 20g lumpfish caviar
  • Sushi rice
  • 200g uncooked Thai jasmine or sushi rice
  • 300ml Water
  • 1tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • pinch salt

Cooking Instructions

  1. Sushi Rice
  2. Wash the rice and rinse thoroughly.
  3. Place rice in rice cooker and set until cooked. Alternatively place rice and water in a medium pan.
  4. Bring to boil over a high heat, reduce to simmer, and cook covered for 35-45 minutes until done.
  5. Meanwhile mis together the rice vinegar, sugar and salt in a small pan; cook over a medium heat until the sugar has dissolved. Allow to cool.
  6. Put the cooked rice in a large mixing bowl, por over the vinegar sauce and mix.
  7. Allow to cool slightly before using in sushi recipes
  8. Sushi Rolls
  9. Place the seaweed on a tea towel or sushi mat
  10. Spread with sushi rice and roll up as tight as possible
  11. Cut into discs using a sharp serrated knife. Top with lumpfish caviar and chill until ready to serve
