Ingredients
- 2 sheets Nori seaweed
- 100g cooked sushi rice
- 20g lumpfish caviar
- Sushi rice
- 200g uncooked Thai jasmine or sushi rice
- 300ml Water
- 1tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tsp sugar
- pinch salt
Cooking Instructions
- Sushi Rice
- Wash the rice and rinse thoroughly.
- Place rice in rice cooker and set until cooked. Alternatively place rice and water in a medium pan.
- Bring to boil over a high heat, reduce to simmer, and cook covered for 35-45 minutes until done.
- Meanwhile mis together the rice vinegar, sugar and salt in a small pan; cook over a medium heat until the sugar has dissolved. Allow to cool.
- Put the cooked rice in a large mixing bowl, por over the vinegar sauce and mix.
- Allow to cool slightly before using in sushi recipes
- Sushi Rolls
- Place the seaweed on a tea towel or sushi mat
- Spread with sushi rice and roll up as tight as possible
- Cut into discs using a sharp serrated knife. Top with lumpfish caviar and chill until ready to serve
