Ingredients
- 4 low-fat sausages
- 100g fresh breadcrumbs
- 200g cooked chopped chestnuts
- 1 tablespoon freshly chopped parsley
- 1 peeled and chopped onion
- Salt and black pepper
Cooking Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 200*C, 400*F, Gas Mark 6.
- Split four low-fat sausages, removing and discarding the skins.
- Place the sausagemeat in a mixing bowl.
- Add 100g fresh breadcrumbs and 200g cooked chopped chestnuts.
- Stir in 1 tablespoon freshly chopped parsley.
- Dry-fry 1 peeled and chopped onion in a non-stick pan until soft and add to the mixture.
- Stir in 1-2 tablespoons of boiling water and mix well seasoning with salt and black pepper.
- Pile into an ovenproof dish. Bake in a preheated oven for 20 minutes.
- Serve hot.
Tips
Adding a little boiling water to the mixture prevents it from drying out during baking.
