Ingredients

  • 300g extra lean minced turkey
  • 100g lean back bacon, diced
  • 1 red onion, finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp vegetable stock powder
  • 1 tbsp mango chutney
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
  • salt and freshly ground black pepper

Cooking Instructions

  1. Place all the ingredients in a large mixing bowl and combine well with a wooden spoon. Divide the mixture into 6 and mould into burger shapes, then press down with your palms to flatten them slightly.

  3. Preheat a barbecue or grill. Cook the burgers for 30-35 minutes on a hot barbecue or under a hot grill, turning them every 5 minutes to brown both sides. Check that they are cooked through to the centre by cutting one of the burgers in half.
  4. Serve with salad of your choice.

Tips

You can substitute finely chopped gammon for the bacon.
