Turkey Steaks with Lime and Ginger Salsa

Turkey steak is coated with Polenta to make our low fat version of a Schnitzel. Serve with a lime and ginger salsa for a zingy summer dish. Only 145 calories per serving.

Turkey steaks with lime and ginger salsa

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsps bramata (polenta) flour
  • 4 thin turkey steaks
  • salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • For the salsa
  • 2 beef tomatoes, diced
  • 4 spring onions, chopped
  • zest and juice of 1 lime
  • 1 tsp chopped fresh ginger
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh chives

Cooking Instructions

  1. Preheat the grill to high or preheat a barbecue.
  2. Sprinkle the polenta flour on a plate and season with salt and black pepper.
  3. Dip the turkey steaks into the flour, coating all sides.
  4. Place the turkey steaks under a hot grill or on the barbecue and cook for 10-12 minutes, turning regularly during cooking.
  5. Meanwhile, mix the salsa ingredients together in a bowl, then pour into a saucepan and heat.
  6. Serve the turkey steaks with the salsa and unlimited additional vegetables.

Tips

Dipping the turkey steaks in polenta flour before cooking gives a crispy coating.
