Ingredients
- 8 low-fat sausages
- 100g plain flour
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 150ml semi-skimmed milk
- pinch salt
Cooking Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 200C, 400F, Gas Mark 6. Make the Yorkshire pudding batter by whisking the flour, eggs and a little milk to a thick paste, add the remaining milk and whisk to a creamy batter. Allow to stand for 30 minutes.
- Preheat a non-stick frying pan until hot. Add the sausages and dry-fry until lightly browned.
- Pour the batter over the sausages and place in a preheated oven for 25 minutes. Do not open the oven as this will result in the pudding collapsing before it is fully cooked and the egg has set.
- When cooked remove from the oven and serve hot with a selection of seasonal vegetables and additional gravy.
Tips
Make the batter 30 minutes in advance and allow to stand. Semi-skimmed and skimmed milk give a much lighter pudding than full-fat milk.
