Ingredients
- 4 rump steaks, approx. 100g each
- 1 garlic clove, crushed
- 1 tsp lemongrass paste
- 1 tsp ground coriander
- 1 small red chilli, sliced
- 6 basil leaves, finely chopped
- 2 tbsps runny honey
- salt and freshly ground black pepper
Cooking Instructions
- Trim any visible fat from the steaks and discard. Place the steaks in a non-stick baking tray and season with salt and black pepper on both sides.
- Mix together the remaining ingredients in a small bowl and drizzle over the steaks. Leave the steaks to marinate for a minimum of 30 minutes. Meanwhile, preheat the grill or a barbecue.
- When the steaks have been marinated, cook them under the hot grill or on the barbecue for 8-10 minutes until just cooked, turning them over halfway through cooking.
- Serve with a mixed salad and 200g boiled new potatoes per person.
Tips
Choose thick steaks so they won't dry out on the barbecue.
