Ingredients
- 300g venison sausages
- 1 red onion, sliced
- 2 sprigs fresh thyme
- 1 tsp grain mustard
- 200ml red wine
- 200ml water
- 2–3 tsp gravy granules
- 300g carrot sticks
- 1 tbsp finely chopped parsley
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
Cooking Instructions
- Heat a non-stick frying pan until hot, then add the sausages and dry-fry until lightly browned.
- Add the onion and continue cooking until soft.
- Add the remaining ingredients, season with salt and black pepper and bring to a gentle simmer.
- Cover and simmer for 20 minutes until the sausages are cooked through.
- Adjust the seasoning.
- Then serve with 1 yellow Portion Pot® (100g) mashed potato per person and unlimited broccoli and carrots.
Tips
For a fuller flavour, cook on a low setting in a slow cooker for 2 hours.
