Pork, sage and pineapple burgers

Ingredients
- 400g minced pork
- 2 tsps vegetable stock powder
- 1 x 137g can pineapple in juice, drained and chopped
- 1 tbsp chopped fresh sage
- 1 tbsp chilli sauce
- 4 spring onions, finely chopped
- freshly ground black pepper
Cooking Instructions
- Place all the ingredients in a mixing bowl, season with black pepper and combine well with a wooden spoon. Divide the mixture into 4 and mould into burger shapes with your hands. Cover with food wrap and place in the refrigerator to chill for 30 minutes.
- Preheat a barbecue or grill. Cook the burgers on a hot barbecue or under a hot grill for 20-25 minutes, turning them regularly.
- Check that they are cooked through to the centre (there should be no pink meat left) by cutting one of the burgers in half. Serve with a side salad and a Tomato, Ginger and Lime salsa.
Tips
This recipe also works well using minced chicken or turkey instead of pork.
