Peri peri chicken livers

Ingredients

  • 1 large white onion, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 200g chestnut mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 tsp Peri Peri seasoning
  • 250g Chicken livers
  • 1 tbsp white wine
  • 1 tsp vegetable bouillion stock powder
  • 150ml water

Cooking Instructions

  1. In a non-stick pan, dry-fry the onion and garlic until soft. Add the mushrooms and Peri Peri seasoning and cook for a few minutes. Add the chicken livers and toss, cooking until they start to firm up.
  2. Add the wine, stock powder and 150ml water and simmer. Serve with rice.

Tips

Chicken livers are very cheap and can be stored in the freezer, simply defrost overnight in the fridge before cooking.
