Griddled steak with Marsala mushroom sauce

Ingredients
- 2 lean beef steaks
- ½ red onion, finely chopped
- 6 chestnut mushrooms, sliced
- Pinch coarsely chopped black pepper
- 100g low-fat cream cheese
- 2 tbsps Marsala wine
- 1 tbsp freshly chopped parsley
- sea salt
Cooking Instructions
- Preheat a griddle pan until hot.
- Season the steak on both sides with sea salt and cook in the pan for 1-2 minutes each side. Remove from the pan and keep warm.
- Dry-fry the onion and mushrooms in the pan until soft. Add the Marsala wine, cheese and adjust the consistency with a little milk if required. Add the parsley and adjust the seasoning.
- Serve with salad or vegetables.

Use this creamy sauce to top all meats, fish and roasted vegetables.
