Ingredients

  • 400g thin steak
  • 1 red onion, sliced
  • 1 red pepper, deseeded and finely sliced
  • 2 sticks celery
  • For the marinade
  • 2 tbsp dark soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp Chinese rice wine or dry sherry
  • 1 tsp granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp light soy sauce

Cooking Instructions

  1. Slice the beef into strips and place in a bowl.
  2. Mix together the marinade ingredients and pour over the beef. Leave to marinate for 30 minutes.
  3. Heat a non-stick pan, dry fry the onion until soft before adding the pepper and celery. Cook for 1-2 minutes then add the beef and toss together until the beef is cooked to your liking.
  4. Serve hot with rice or noodles.
