Ingredients
- 1 red onion, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, crushed
- 450g lean braising steak
- 1 yellow pepper, deseeded and diced
- 300ml tomato passata
- 1 tbsp gravy granules
- salt and freshly ground black pepper
- fresh parsley to garnish
Cooking Instructions
- Heat a non-stick pan and dry-fry the onion and garlic until soft. Add the beef and continue cooking to seal the meat.
- Add the remaining ingredients and mix well, adding up to 300ml of water depending on the thickness of the passata.
- Cover with a lid and simmer gently for at least 40 minutes until the meat is tender.
- Garnish with parsley and serve with steamed mixed vegetables (excluding potatoes)
Tips
You can cook this recipe in a slow cooker or electric wok.
